Wisconsin Code § 779.42

Obtaining mechanic’s services by misrepresentation of interest in personal property

Any person
who, for the purpose of inducing any mechanic, or keeper of a
garage or shop, or the employer of a mechanic to transport, make,
alter, repair or do any work on any personal property, makes any
misrepresentation as to the nature or extent of the person’s interest in said property or as to any lien upon said property shall be
fined not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than 6 months
or both.
