Corrupt summoning of jurors to find biased verdict; penalty

A sheriff or other officer who, corruptly, or through favor or ill will, shall summon a juror,
with intent that such juror shall find a verdict for or against any party to an action, or shall
be biased in his conduct as such juror, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon
conviction, shall be confined in jail not exceeding six months and fined not exceeding $500,
and shall forfeit his office and be forever incapable of holding any office of heonor, trust or
profit in this state.
