Larceny, concealment or destruction of public record by person not

If any person, other than an officer in lawful charge thereof, steal, fraudulently secrete or
destroy, a public record or any part thereof, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon
conviction, shall be confined in jail not more than one year and be fined not exceeding
$1,000. e
