West Virginia Code § 60-6-23

Treatment of minors for addiction to alcoholic liquor and beer

Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, any licensed physician may examine,
counsel, diagnose and treat any minor at his or her request for any addiction to or
dependency upon the use of alcoholic liquor or nonintoxicating beer, as defined in section
five, article one of this chapter, without the knowledge or consent of the minor's parent or
guardian. Such physicians shall not incur any civil or criminal liability in conenection
therewith except for negligence or willful injury.
