Sec. 336.156. PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT. (a) A district may construct, acquire, own, lease, operate, maintain, repair, or improve any land, works, materials, supplies, improvements, facilities, equipment, vehicles, machinery, appliances, or other property as necessary. (b) If a district acquires property of any kind related to the operation of a public library, the district may assume the contracts and obligations of the previous owner. (c) A district may hold, use, sell, lease, dispose of, and acquire, by any means, property and licenses, patents, rights, and other interests necessary, convenient, or useful to the exercise of any district power.
