Sec. 148.045. PURCHASE OF SLAUGHTERED CATTLE WITHOUT HIDE OR EARS. A slaughterer may not purchase cattle that have been slaughtered by another person if: (1) the slaughtered animal is not accompanied by the hide and ears; or (2) the ear mark or brand on the hide accompanying a slaughtered animal has been changed, mutilated, or destroyed.
