Sec. 148.043. RECORDS. (a) A slaughterer of cattle shall keep a true and faithful record, in a book kept for that purpose, of all cattle purchased or slaughtered, including: (1) a description of each animal, including marks, brands, age, color, and weight; (2) the name of the person from whom the cattle were purchased; and (3) the date of each purchase. (b) A slaughterer shall keep records under this section open for public inspection at reasonable hours.
