Regulations: Remote sites, satellite consultation sites and telepharmacies; dispensing practitioners and dispensing technicians; practicing electronically, telephonically or by fiber optics

The
Board shall adopt regulations:
1. As are necessary for the safe and
efficient operation of remote sites, satellite consultation sites and
telepharmacies;
2. To define the terms dispensing
practitioner and dispensing technician, to provide for the registration and
discipline of dispensing practitioners and dispensing technicians, and to set
forth the qualifications, powers and duties of dispensing practitioners and
dispensing technicians;
3. To authorize registered pharmacists to
engage in the practice of pharmacy electronically, telephonically or by fiber
optics, including, without limitation, through telehealth, from within or
outside this State; and
4. To authorize prescriptions to be filled
and dispensed to patients as prescribed by practitioners electronically,
telephonically or by fiber optics, including, without limitation, through
telehealth, from within or outside this State or the United States.
