Nevada Code § 483.875

Expiration as prescribed by regulation; renewability of card; duties of and restriction upon authority of Department

1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 483.861 and 483.870 , an identification card and a
renewal of an identification card issued pursuant to NRS 483.810 to 483.890 , inclusive, expires as prescribed
by regulation.
2. The Department shall adopt regulations
prescribing when an identification card expires.
3. An identification card is renewable at
any time before its expiration upon application and payment of the required
fee.
4. The Department shall issue an
identification card that is valid only during the time the applicant is
authorized to stay in the United States, or if there is no definite end to the
time the applicant is authorized to stay, the identification card is valid for
1 year beginning on the date of issuance.
