Rules concerning donation limits for events

Sec. 6. (a) Subject to section 7 of this chapter, the commission may adopt rules setting reasonable limits on the amount of alcoholic beverages that a permittee may donate to a qualified organization that is a permittee. The commission may establish a method for calculating the maximum donation amount for an event, using factors that include: (1) the estimated adult attendance at the event; (2) the event's duration; (3) the types of alcoholic beverages donated; (4) public health and safety considerations; (5) maintaining the integrity of the three (3) tier system; and (6) any other relevant factors.       (b) A permittee must apply to the commission not later than fifteen (15) days before the date of an event for the commission to review and approve or deny a proposed donation to a qualified organization that is a permittee.
