Indiana Code § 20-35-13-3

Sec. 3. (a) A child who is deaf or hard of hearing and who meets the requirements described in subsection (b) may enroll in an auditory-verbal accelerated education program for the development of listening and spoken language skills to prepare the child for enrollment in school.       (b) To participate in the auditory-verbal accelerated education program, the child must: (1) have received an implant or assistive hearing device; (2) be at least three (3) years of age and, except as provided in subsection (c), less than seven (7) years of age; and (3) be a resident of Indiana.       (c) A child described in subsection (b) may participate in the program until the earlier of the following: (1) The completion of grade 2. (2) The completion of the school year in which the child becomes seven (7) years of age.
