As defined in Article II of the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children contained in Code Section 39-4A-7 , the phrase "non-relative with such significant ties to the child that they may be regarded as relatives" means, with reference to this state, the same as the term "fictive kin" as defined in Code Section 15-11-2 . Added by 2024 Ga. Laws 425,§ 1, eff. upon enactment of the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children into law by the thirty-fifth state.
