Wisconsin Code § 73.02

Distribution of money; income tax coordinator

(1) The department of revenue shall, on the certification of the
program agencies that all requirements of the applicable laws
have been complied with, perform the mechanical operation of
the distribution of all moneys which the state distributes to political subdivisions.
(2) The secretary shall designate or appoint under the classified service, within the department of revenue, an income tax coordinator, whose duties shall include the setting up and operation
of a coordination program with the internal revenue service to facilitate the reporting of federal adjustments to the department and
the interchange of information with respect to examination of returns, adjustments to income, extension of limitations, furnishing
copies of returns and other activities essential to an integrated and
effective coordination program with the internal revenue service.
