Wisconsin Code § 700.35

Renewable energy resource easements

In
this section, “renewable energy resource easement” means an
easement which limits the height or location, or both, of permissible development on the burdened land in terms of a structure or
vegetation, or both, for the purpose of providing access for the
benefited land to wind or sunlight passing over the burdened land.
Every renewable energy resource easement shall be in writing
and shall be subject to the same conveyancing and instrument
recording requirements as other easements. Renewable energy
resource easements shall run with the land benefited and burdened unless otherwise expressly stated therein.
