The sale of alcoholic liquors in state stores and in state agencies shall be for cash, money
order, certified check, cashier's check or traveler's check only. In the case of private clubs as
defined in article seven of this chapter, letters of credit from banks guaranteeing payment of
checks may be filed with the commissioner. Filing of such letters may permit the
commissioner to accept the club's check. e
