West Virginia Code § 55-8-11

Limitation on jurisdiction of equity as to suit by assignee

A court of equity shall not have jurisdiction of a suit upon a bond, note, or writing, by an
assignee or holder thereof, unless it appear that the plaintiff had not an adequate remedy
thereon at law.
