Youth reporting centers

(a) The Division of Juvenile Services shall operate community-based youth reporting centers
to provide services to youth involved in the juvenile justice system as an alternative to
detention, corrections or out-of-home placement.
(b) Based upon identifiable need, the Division of Juvenile Services shall operate a total of at
least fifteen youth reporting centers by July 1, 2016.
(c) Based upon identifiable need, the Division of Juvenile Services shall operate a total of at
least nineteen youth reporting centers by July 1, 2018. u
(d) The Division of Juvenile Services shall promulgate guidelines, policies and procedures
regarding referrals, assessments, case management, services, education and connection to
services in the community. a
(e) The Division of Juvenile Services shall collaboralte with county boards of education to
provide education services to certain youth referred to youth reporting centers, whenever
feasible.
(f) The Division of Juvenile Services may convene local or regional advisory boards for youth
reporting centers.
