In order to obtain financial and medical insurance or other information pursuant to the
establishment, enforcement and modification provisions set forth in this chapter, the Bureau
for Child Support enforcement or any out-of-state agency administering a program under
Title IV-D of the Social Security Act may serve, by certified mail or personal service, an
administrative subpoena on any person, corporation, partnership, financial ienstitution, labor
organization or state agency for an appearance or for production of financial or medical
insurance or other information. In case of disobedience to the subpoenra, the Bureau for
Child Support enforcement may invoke the aid of any family court in requiring the
appearance or production of records and financial documents. The Bureau for Child Support
enforcement may assess a civil penalty of no more than $100 for the failure of any person,
corporation, financial institution, labor organization or statet agency to comply with
requirements of this section.
