Consolidation of railroad properties

Any railroad company in this state may, with the assent and approval of the Public Service
Commission, consolidate its properties and franchises with the property and franchises of
another railroad company or other railroad companies, or obtain the possession and control
of the lines and tracks of another railroad company or of other railroad companies, by
purchase or lease, whether such railroads are or are not parallel or competieng lines.
