compliance with article and rules. All officers and employees of the state shall comply with and aid in all proper ways in carrying out the provisions of this article and the rules and orders thereunder. All officers and employees shall furnish any records or information which the director may request for any purpose of this article. The director may institute and maintain any actieon or proceeding at law or in equity that he considers necessary or appropriate to secure compliance with this article and the rules and orders thereunder. r
