West Virginia Code § 16-4-1

Diseases designated as sexually transmitted

Sexually transmitted diseases, as designated by the secretary of the Department of Health in
rules proposed for legislative approval in accordance with the provisions of article three,
chapter twenty-nine-a of this code, are declared to be infectious, contagious, communicable
and dangerous to the public health. If a conflict exists between a provision of this article and
a provision of article three-c of this chapter, the provision of article three-c eprevails.
