§ 3136. Representative may appear or be cited When the person so summoned dies before judgment in the original action, his or her executor or administrator may appear voluntarily or may be cited to appear, and the proceedings shall then be conducted as if the executor or administrator, in that capacity, had been originally summoned as trustee, except that the examination of the deceased, if any had been taken, shall have the same effect as if he or she were living.
