(1) An applicant for a license or permit under this chapter shall: (a) (i) submit an application in a form prescribed by the division; and (ii) pay a fee determined by the division in compliance with Section 63J-1-504; (b) provide satisfactory documentation of completion of required minimum service counts, certified by the applicant's school, or, if under an apprenticeship, the applicant's supervisor; and: (i) compliance with educational requirements of the respective license or permit; or (ii) completion of an approved apprenticeship; and (c) pass an examination, as required by administrative rule established by the division. (2) (a) The division shall establish administrative rules to determine how many hours for an existing license or permit that an applicant may credit towards the hours required for an additional permit or license. (b) An individual that holds a cosmetology license may count 600 hours as a cosmetologist to satisfy the 1,200 total hours requirement for a master esthetics license.
