State board transparency

(1) Beginning January 1, 2027, the state board shall:
(a) publish on the state board's website a record of each vote by the state board, including:
(i) the date, time, and place of the meeting;
(ii) the subject of the vote;
(iii) the names of state board members present and absent;
(iv) the result of the vote, including each board member's individual vote; and
(v) the audio or video associated with the vote;
(b) distribute a contract the state board intends to consider at a meeting to each state board
member at least five days before the date on which the meeting is scheduled to occur;
(c) ensure the information described in Subsection (1)(a) is accessible through a single click from
the state board's home webpage; and
(d) post the information required by Subsection (1)(a) within seven business days after a vote.
(2) In accordance with Title 36, Chapter 35, General Oversight Committee, the General Oversight
Committee may request a report from the state board detailing the:
(a) implementation of the requirements of this section; and
(b) the state board's compliance with the requirements of this section.
