Sec. 841.0821. SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT BEFORE RELEASE FROM SECURE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. (a) The Texas Department of Criminal Justice shall prioritize enrolling in a sex offender treatment program established by the department any committed person who has not yet been released by the department. (b) The Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the office shall adopt a memorandum of understanding that establishes their respective responsibilities to institute a continuity of care for committed persons enrolled in a sex offender treatment program established by the department.
