Sec. 81.0872. ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMITTEE. (a) The committee consists of nine members, including: (1) three attorneys appointed by the president of the state bar; (2) one nonattorney public member appointed by the president of the state bar; (3) four attorneys appointed by the supreme court; and (4) one nonattorney public member appointed by the supreme court. (b) The president of the state bar and the chief justice of the supreme court shall alternate designating an attorney member of the committee to serve as the presiding officer of the committee for a term of one year. (c) Committee members serve staggered three-year terms, with one-third of the members' terms expiring each year.
