Sec. 801.504. GENERAL CRIMINAL PENALTY. (a) A person, including an entity, commits an offense if the person violates this chapter. (b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor. (c) Venue for the prosecution of an offense under this section that consists of the violation of Section 801.251 is in a district court in Travis County or the county in which the offense occurred.
