Sec. 68.206. SECURITY PROJECTS AND SERVICES. (a) The board shall determine what security projects or security services the district will perform. A security project may include a project eligible for funding under a port security grant program of the United States Department of Homeland Security. (b) A district may own, operate, and maintain a security project or provide a security service as reasonably necessary to carry out a district power under this chapter. (c) A district may acquire, construct, complete, develop, own, operate, maintain, and lease a security project or part of a security project or provide a security service inside and outside its boundaries.
