Sec. 39.0541. ADOPTION OF INDICATORS AND STANDARDS. (a) Subject to Subsection (b), the commissioner may adopt indicators and standards under this subchapter at any time before issuing the evaluation of a school district or campus. (b) If the commissioner does not initially adopt performance standards by the July 15 immediately preceding a school year, district and campus performance ratings for that school year shall be based on the performance standards in effect for the preceding school year.
