Sec. 351.608. CEASE AND DESIST ORDER. (a) If it appears to the board that a person is engaging in an act or practice that constitutes the practice of optometry or therapeutic optometry without a license or certificate under this chapter, the board, after notice and opportunity for a hearing, may issue a cease and desist order prohibiting the person from engaging in the activity. (b) Notwithstanding Section 351.551 , the board may impose an administrative penalty under Subchapter L against a person who violates an order issued under this section.
