Sec. 283.024. ADMINISTRATOR; DUTIES. (a) The board shall appoint an administrator for the district. The person must be qualified by training and experience. (b) The administrator holds an office for a term of not more than two years but is subject to removal by the board at any time. (c) The administrator is entitled to compensation as determined by the board. (d) Before assuming duties, the administrator shall execute a bond payable to the district in the amount of not less than $10,000, conditioned on the faithful performance of the administrator's duties and any other requirements determined by the board. (e) Subject to the limitations prescribed by the board, the administrator shall: (1) perform duties required by the board; (2) supervise the work and activities of the district; and (3) generally direct the affairs of the district.
