Sec. 167.082. NOTICE AND HEARING. (a) The commission shall give written notice of a designation under this subchapter to the stockyard company or to the owner, operator, or other person in control of the stockyard. (b) A person to whom a notice is directed may request a hearing for the purpose of protesting the designation in the manner provided by Section 167.053 for requesting a hearing on an order to treat. The commission shall grant the hearing and give notice of its decision in the manner provided by that section. (c) A person whose protest is overruled shall complete the work required to provide tick-free facilities not later than the 60th day following the day on which the person receives notice of the commission's decision.
