Sec. 134.062. REQUEST FOR PUBLIC HEARING; NOTICE. (a) Not later than the 45th day after the date of the last publication of notice under Section 134.058 , the applicant or an affected person may request a hearing on the application. The hearing shall be held not later than the 30th day after the date the commission receives the request. (b) The commission shall publish notice of the date, time, and location of the public hearing in a local newspaper of general circulation in the locality of the proposed surface coal mining operations at least once a week for three consecutive weeks before the scheduled hearing date.
