South Dakota Code § 36-24-25.1

Issuance of license to out-of-state licensee--Promulgation of rule

The board may issue a hearing aid dispensing license or audiology license to a person who holds a valid license from another state in the person's respective professional area who:
(1) Applies to the board on a form prescribed by the board;
(2) Pays the application fee, not to exceed three hundred fifty dollars, set by the board by rule promulgated pursuant to chapter
1-26
; and
(3) Shows proof of a current valid license from a state with equivalent licensure standards.
An applicant for a hearing aid dispensing license who holds a current license to practice hearing aid dispensing in another state is exempt from the requirement of subdivision
36-24-17.2
(5) upon furnishing proof of a current, valid license and passage of a board-approved national examination.
