It is unlawful for a recreational fisherman to take more than twenty-five American eel (Anguilla rostrata) a day. Each American eel must be at least nine inches long. Effect of Amendment 2016 Act No. 209, SECTION 1, substituted "twenty-five American eel (Anguilla rostrata)" for "fifty eels" in the first sentence, and inserted "American" before "eel" and substituted "nine inches" for "six inches" in the second sentence.
