The trapping or snaring of quail is prohibited except as permitted by the department for scientific or propagation purposes. Requests for quail trapping permits must be accompanied by proof of property ownership or lease-hold interest for the property upon which the quail traps are to be operated, a county or highway map designating the location of the property, and an aerial photo, a tax map, or a plan designating property boundaries.
