§ 40.1-2-30. Petitions for appointment of conservator or legal guardian. The department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals shall have standing to petition the appropriate probate court for the appointment of a suitable person to serve as conservator, or to serve as legal guardian of the person or estate or both, of any patient or client served in any facility operated by the department.
