§ 40.1-1-5. Reorganizations within department. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, any division, bureau, or other unit or agency within the department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals, however entitled or described, may at any time be reorganized, divided, consolidated, abolished, or otherwise reconstituted by the director of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals, with the approval of the governor, as may be desirable for the proper administration and performance of the powers, functions, and duties assigned to the department and any such change shall conform with the requirements of § 40.1-1-4.
