(1) A person commits the crime of alteration of a document of gift if the person, in order to obtain a financial gain, intentionally falsifies, forges, conceals, defaces or obliterates a document of gift, an amendment or revocation of a document of gift or a refusal. (2) Alteration of a document of gift is a Class C felony. Note: See note under 97.951.
