The Director of Transportation and any deputy directors shall receive such salary as may be provided by law or as fixed by the Governor. In addition to salaries, the director and deputy directors, subject to the limitations otherwise provided by law, shall be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses necessarily incurred in the performance of official duties.
