Title 69. Roads, Bridges, And Ferries: Compensation for signs and rights taken

The Department is directed to acquire by purchase, gift or
condemnation, and shall pay just compensation upon the removal of,
the outdoor advertising signs, displays and devices specified in
subsections (a), (b) and (c) of this section, when and insofar as
their removal is required hereunder, as follows:
(a) Those lawfully in existence on the effective date of this
act.
(b) Those lawfully adjacent to any highway made a part of the
interstate or primary system on or after the effective date of this
act.
(c) Those lawfully erected, which later become unlawful.
(d) Such compensation shall be paid as follows;
(1) For the taking from the owner thereof the outdoor
advertising device.
(2) To the owner of the land on which the outdoor
advertising device is located for the right to erect and maintain
outdoor advertising thereon.
