A.  Sections 353 through 366 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma
Statutes shall be known and may be cited as the "Oklahoma Pharmacy
Act".
B.  It is the purpose of the Oklahoma Pharmacy Act to promote,
preserve and protect the public health, safety and welfare by and
through the effective control and regulation of the practice of
pharmacy and of the registration of drug outlets engaged in the
manufacture, production, sale and distribution of dangerous drugs,
medication, devices and such other materials as may be used in the
diagnosis and treatment of injury, illness and disease.
C.  In recognition of and consistent with the decisions of the
appellate courts of this state, the practice of pharmacy is hereby
declared to be a profession.
