Title 57. Prisons And Reformatories: Orange Alert communication system

A.  The Department of Corrections shall create for each
correctional facility within this state an "Orange Alert"
communication system to notify any resident within a radius of forty
(40) miles when a prisoner of a correctional facility has escaped.
Information regarding how to register for an Orange Alert via the
communication system shall be posted in a newspaper of record within
the county in which the correctional facility is located.  It shall
be the responsibility of each resident to register to receive Orange
Alert notifications from the communication system.
B.  The Department of Corrections shall promulgate policies for
establishing a statewide Orange Alert communication system.
