Title 21. Crimes And Punishments: Interest in property or contract transactions by officers

— Penalties.
A.  Except as otherwise provided in this section, every public
officer, being authorized to sell or lease any property, or make,
approve, negotiate, or authorize any contract in his or her official
capacity, who voluntarily becomes interested individually in such
sale, lease or contract, directly or indirectly, shall, upon
conviction, be guilty of a felony and shall be prohibited from
holding any public office in this state.  Violation of this section
shall be grounds for removal from office or termination from state
employment.
B.  The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
1.  Municipal officers who are subject to the provisions of
Section 8-113 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and
2.  Conservation district board members participating in
programs authorized by Section 3-2-106 of Title 27A of the Oklahoma
Statutes.
