Title 2. Agriculture: Administration of program - Rules - Advisory committee

A.  The State Board of Career and Technology Education shall administer this
program with present personnel and shall not hire any new employees to assist in
administering this act.
B.  The State Board of Career and Technology Education shall adopt rules
pertaining to this act which shall take into consideration the special knowledge
that farmers and ranchers already possess through practical experience and design
courses that will expedite the learning of a skill and the opportunity for self-
employment or job placement, and shall waive any tuition due from any approved
applicant.
C.  There is hereby created the Advisory Committee on Agricultural Employment
Retraining to be composed of the following six (6) members who shall serve without
per diem expenses or travel reimbursement on an advisory basis to the State Board
of Career and Technology Education regarding this act as follows:
1.  Two members shall be appointed by the Governor;
2.  Two members shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of
Representatives; and
3.  Two members shall be appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the
Senate.
D.  The Advisory Committee on Agricultural Employment Retraining will also
recommend individuals for this program who have a financial hardship and could
possibly save their farm or ranch from bankruptcy or foreclosure by learning a new
skill.  The Advisory Committee recommendations shall be forwarded to the State
Board of Career and Technology Education for final consideration.
