Title 11. Cities And Towns: Aldermanic cities with one councilmember per ward -

Officers to be elected - Terms.
In a statutory aldermanic city with one (1) councilmember per
ward, the terms of the elected officers shall be staggered so that
at any one general municipal election, the following officers are to
be elected for four-year terms:
1.  Councilmembers from odd-numbered wards;
2.  The mayor;
3.  The clerk;
4.  The marshal; and
5.  The street commissioner.
At the next general municipal election, the following officers
are to be elected for four-year terms:
1.  Councilmembers from even-numbered wards; and
2.  The treasurer.

If the office of treasurer has been consolidated with any other
office, elections for the office of treasurer and the office with
which it has been consolidated shall be held at the time the
election to fill the other office is held.  The term of the
consolidated office shall be concurrent with the term of the other
office.
