Title 10A. Children And Juvenile Code: Confidentiality of social records

A.  1.  Social records, as defined by Section 93 of this act,
shall not be filed in the court record unless so ordered by the
court.  If filed in the court record, the records shall be placed in
confidential envelopes in the court file and may only be accessed by
the person who is the subject of the record, or the attorney for
such person.
2.  The person or the attorney for the person may obtain a copy
of any social record used during the pendency of the delinquent
proceedings that has been distributed to any of the parties during
the proceedings.
B.  Nothing in this section shall prohibit the disclosure of
confidential records as permitted by the provisions of Chapter 6 of
this Code or any other applicable law.
