Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly The board of health of a city or general health district may erect temporary wooden buildings or field hospitals necessary for the isolation or protection of persons or freight supposed to be infected, and may employ nurses, physicians, and laborers sufficient to operate them, and sufficient police to guard them. Such board may cause the disinfection, renovation, or destruction of bedding, clothing, or other property belonging to corporations or individuals when such action is deemed necessary by the board or a reasonable precaution against the spread of contagious or infectious diseases.
