Effective: June 30, 2011 Latest Legislation: House Bill 153 - 129th General Assembly The Franklin county educational service center shall establish the Ohio center for autism and low incidence. The center shall administer programs and coordinate services for infants, preschool and school-age children, and adults with autism and low incidence disabilities. The center's principal focus shall be programs and services for persons with autism. The center shall be under the direction of an executive director, appointed by the superintendent of the service center in consultation with the advisory board established under section 3323.33 of the Revised Code. In addition to its other duties, the Ohio center for autism and low incidence shall participate as a member of the interagency workgroup on autism, as it is established by the director of developmental disabilities under section 5123.0419 of the Revised Code. The center shall provide technical assistance and support to the department of developmental disabilities in the department's leadership role to develop and implement the projects and activities of the workgroup.
