Effective: October 17, 2019 Latest Legislation: House Bill 166 - 133rd General Assembly A qualified organization shall develop and implement written policies and procedures for employees, including policies and procedures on all of the following topics: (A) Familiarization of the employee with emergency and safety procedures; (B) The principles and practices of child care; (C) Administrative structure, procedures, and overall program goals of the qualified organization; (D) Appropriate techniques of behavior management; (E) Techniques and methodologies for crisis management; (F) Familiarization of the employee with the disciplinary procedures outlined in rule 5101:2-9-21 of the Ohio Administrative Code, the discipline and behavior intervention policies required by rule 5101:2-5-13 of the Ohio Administrative Code, and any other similar requirements; (G) Procedures for reporting suspected child abuse or neglect under section 2151.421 of the Revised Code; (H) An emergency medical plan; (I) Universal precautions; (J) Knowledge and skills to understand and address the issues confronting adolescents.
